May 22^nd, 2009: There are two TA (Teaching Assistant) positions available in my group beginning August 15^th, 2009 or January 5^th, 2010 that may become RA (Research Assistant) positions upon satisfactory performance in research and availability of funding. Strong computational skills (C++ or other programming language) are required and background in solid state physics is important, biophysics background is a plus. The research project will involve computational study of nanopore membrane properties and bio-molecule characterization with a nanopore (see below Nanopore).
