My research focuses broadly on developing algorithms for efficient and scalable machine learning systems. I am particularly interested in hardware-friendly deep learning algorithms and its applications in biometrics, vision, language, and speech using the edge computing paradigm. I am passionate about applying my research to accelerate progress in science and engineering. My research is supported by CITeR, Verizon and Badger Technologies. Before joining UW-Green Bay as a tenure-track assistant professor, I was a research assistant at Clarkson University, where I earned my Ph.D. in the ECE department. Additionally, I had the privilege of working on several exciting industrial projects throughout my career. Notably, I spent nearly five years at Samsung R&D, where I had the opportunity to work on IoT, SHealth and Tizen project.

• Started a new position as an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay.
• Complete my P.hD. Dissertation title: ''Efficient and Resource-Aware Deep Learning for Improved Object Detection''.
• Had a meeting with high-ranking representatives from the UK government's biometric security sector.
• Presented the final report for the 'Robust Contactless Fingerprint Processing Tool' project at the CITeR conference in Martigny, Switzerland, showcasing our innovative solution for contactless fingerprint processing.
• Attended EAB and CITeR Biometrics Workshop, hosted by the Idiap Research Institute in Martigny, Switzerland, the European Association for Biometrics (EAB) and the Center for Identification Technology Research (CITeR) on the topics of Bias Mitigation, Template Security, Presentation Attack Detection and Deepfakes.
• Showcased our project on the 'Detection of Over-Rotated Biometric Images and Incorrect Labeling of Fingerprints.' at the EAB and CITeR Biometrics Workshop.

• Presented our novel age-invariant contact-based fingerprint segmentation system for the 'Detection of Over-Rotated Biometric Images and Incorrect Labeling of Fingerprints' project at the CITeR conference at MSU, Michigan, sharing our final report and engaging with industry experts to gather valuable feedback on our innovative solution for biometric identification.
