This is my Clarkson research website which I try to keep up from time to time.  We have a lot of fun and do some pretty cool things.

Professional

I've been very fortunate for the opportunity to work with great people at NASA and Boeing after my graduate studies. From the BART at Langley to five years in design with the HSCT and the 767-400ER at Boeing, the great folks I've worked with were key to great experiences.  Other fun activities included helping in the design of the America's Cup Team 2000, AmericaOne, and working with Fairchild Dornier Aircraft in Germany.  In 2006, I had the opportunity to spend a year at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR) in Braunschweig, Germany. Great Aero people there, too!

I currently teach senior aircraft design at Clarkson University. My research interests are primarily experimental, focusing on applied aerodynamics and renewable energy concepts, including wind turbine design, drag reduction of ground vehicles and design methodologies for aircraft wings.

Personal

I live with my wife, Valerie, a professional photographer, in a log cabin on a couple acres just south of Clarkson University in upstate New York.  Together we have 6 children, (only 1 left at home now), 2 horses, 2 dogs, a cat, and numerous other assorted furry friends that like to come and visit now and then.

We are members of the New Life PCA in Canton NY.  Our coffee is always on and our beer is always cold, so let us know if you are ever in the neighborhood and can stop by.
