Entrance to the so-called "Treasury of Atreus." Mycenae and the Argolid are associated with the mythological dynasty of Atreus, which includes Agamemnon and Menelaos. The largest tomb found at Mycenae, this one is a circular or tholos tomb. This view is of the dromos or sloped path and entrance. The lintel block over the entrance weighs around 100 tons, thus the need for the relieving opening triangle above it.
