What am I working on this semester?
Lab Management - http://cosi.clarkson.edu
26/5/2005: Gearing up for the next Denu relase... stay tuned. It also looks like Justin and I will be continuing work on SkiFox over the summer. Stay tuned.
I've taken up learning Python/GTK to work on Denu (http://denu.sf.net). Denu is a GUI menu editor, especially useful for window managers such as fluxbox, openbox, fvwm and xfce4. I've also started working with Justin on SkiFox, an extension for Firefox that displays ski conditions. We may continue working collaboratively over the summer.
Undated work to present: Rouslan and I worked on the concept and logistics of our Unisys lab management project. Hopefully we can get some real concrete work done this week and after break. I've also added a few new lists (ubuntu and gnome).
16/2/2005: Recovered and updated an old laptop (PII 200)...
15/2/2005: Wrote a few scripts to fetch and build (using Gentoo's Portage system) GnomeBaker, a nice GTK burning application; and to fetch and install (on any system) the RPMs for OOo 2.
5/2/2005: Wrote a little script to update desktop icons. Installed Ubuntu on one of the lab machines. Attempted (unsuccessfully) to change the root passwd for an old machine. Got a book on UNIX shells to digest.
30/1/2005: Wrote a script to update login information.
