mirror.clarkson.edu

I had to rebuild the Gentoo RAID unit on mirror, as one of the drives had died. Thankfully we still had spares that I could use to replace it. Also, due to the new mirror setup, I didn't have to take the rest of the mirror down with it. The new system works much better.

"Protecting/Cleaning Windows" Seminar

I got the URL of the webpage that Justin made as a help page for people looking to clean up their Windows installs as a basis for my future talk. It is available here. I've started to look over it and think about the types of things I want to add (i.e. Firefox, Thunderbird, Gaim, etc.). I also need a better idea for a name for the talk.

Mailing Lists: Tomboy

I've been a part of the Tomboy mailing list for awhile, as to keep myself up with the latest versions. The newest version of Tomboy (0.3.1) adds awesome new features like GNOME panel support, plugin support (printing plugin included), a preference menu, among tons of bugfixes. The need right now seems to be with Help pages - there are none. If I wasn't as busy I'd be tempted to learn Yelp (the GNOME help system) and write up some simple documentation. It's not a complicated program, and the CVS is really organized, so it wouldn't be too difficult to do. The mailing list mention of this can be found here.
