North Country Aikido

North Country Aikido was founded in 1997 as a blending of the Clarkson University Aikido Club and a community dojo. It is a small, but committed group that likes to enjoy the playfulness of sincere training. Visitors and new students are always welcome.

Traditional Aikido is a dynamic martial art that employs circular and spiral motion in accord with natural body movements. Through coordinated use of body, mind, and the energy of the other person, students can respond to force without entering into a contest of force. Therefore, men and women can employ Aikido equally. Aikido's emphasis on mutual respect fosters a supportive learning environment
