Dear Colleague, I am writing to announce the Clarkson University International Collegiate Programming Contest (CUICPC) and to invite your department to send a team to participate. The contest will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 on the Clarkson University campus, in Potsdam, New York. We are sending invitations to computer science, software engineering, and related undergraduate programs at more than 20 U.S. and Canadien institutions located within a four-hour drive of our campus. Participation will be limited to eight teams in all. The CUICPC contest is scheduled to begin at 11 am, with team registrations and lunch. The programming contest will then run from noon until 4 pm. There will be five problems, and we will award prizes to the top three teams. The contest format will be the same as for the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest. Information on registration and a copy of the competition rules can be found at http://clarkson.edu/clubs/acm. If you have questions or would like more information about the CUICPC, and/or our Computer Science department, please contact one of the following: Sincerely, Jan Searleman Jan Searleman 315-268-2377 jets AT clarkson DOT edu Joachim Stahl 315-268-2387 jstahl AT clarkson DOT edu Jim Owens owensjp AT clarkson DOT edu
