Software: Excel and Design Expert (Note the academic price of $250 for
DX7.1. The academic version of DX7.0.3
is available for $73.95, and is what we will use in this course. It may only work for 180 days, although it is
the full professional package. Confirm
with the instructor before purchasing.)

All assignments, solutions, grades, etc. will be posted on Blackboard (http://bbweb.clarkson.edu/).
Emphasis will be on solving problems as homework rather than quizzes or exams. The final exam will be oral, in the instructor’s office using the computer. Except in cases of sudden and severe illness, late homework will be severely penalized, unless permission is obtained in advance from the instructor. Attendance will count.
Term project: Similar to those at Arizona State University.
Those registered for ES 405 will be graded separately from those registered for ES 505.
