Grading:
Homework will be assigned regularly (using WileyPLUS) and an average homework grade will be calculated.
A final exam will be given during final exam week.
Two midterm exams will be given during our regular class meetings on Oct. 6 and Nov. 10.
The course grade will be the weighted average of the final exam grade, the midterm exam grades and the homework grade. The final exam grade will have a weight of 4. Each midterm exam grade will have a weight of 2. The average homework grade will have a weight of 2.
(The exam grades may be scaled to make them conform to the grade conversion table shown below.)
This table will be used to convert numerical grades to letter grades:

Homework deadlines
Use the recommended deadlines to keep up with class. The WileyPlus deadlines occur later than the recommended deadlines allow for WileyPlus problems and other contingencies. These deadlines are hard deadlines enforced by WileyPlus. (You can still work on the homework after the WileyPlus deadline but will receive half credit for that work.) The final deadline is the last day to receive any credit for the homework.
