Read the handout, "The Seafarer", "Dream of the Rood" and "The Wanderer". Be prepared to discuss how these poems reflect the culture of Anglo-Saxon England, whether or not you think each  poem was written at once by a single author or whether you think someone combined different poems (for the wanderer and seafarer). Also consider whether the point of view is Christian, pagan or a mixture of the two.
