to imagine how the play would be staged. Try to identify repeated images
and determine their significance.

Macbeth's speach Act 5, Scene 5 lines 18-26 is one of the most famous soliloquies
in Shakespeare. Read it over a few times and think about it. What is Macbeth
saying and how does it apply to the play as a whole? What, then, do you
think Shakespeare is saying?
