MBO Statement

The mission for the Clarkson University chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management for the 2004-2005 academic school year is to ensure further participation in the club on campus by bringing in new speakers, increasing involvement with our sponsoring chapter and other SHRM chapters, and the community through volunteer services and focusing on recruitment and succession planning. In addition, we also plan on applying for the SHRM Merit Award for the second consecutive year by completing our various activities, increasing our visibility on campus, and utilizing our increase in membership.

Mission Statement

SHRM will:
  • Be the primary influencer of workplace policies and practices that benefit our members
    and the organizations they serve;
  • Build a broad and actively engaged membership that ensures dissemination of leading practices
    to the workplace;
  • Be the major source for building strong competencies and developing the talent and leadership
    of people in our organizations; and
  • Ensure a solid financial structure that permits reinvestment in initiatives and learning
    that advances the state of the profession.
