Outreach Activities
Our outreach program has included numerous lectures and posters by our group members at Clarkson University, other academic institutions, and at national and international conferences.
Our group has extensive ties with industrial partners involved in development and manufacturing of fine particles. Among the most notable applications for such materials are: catalysts for fuel cells (OMG Inc.), electronic materials and transparent conductive coatings (Nanodynamics, Ferro, Phoenix Electronic Displays), fluorescent particles (GE), including for medical diagnostics (Beckman Coulter), nanosize drugs (Elan Technologies), nanolithography (Lincolm MIT Lab), slurries for chemical mechanical polishing (Ferro, IBM, Intel), obscurant smokes (US Army), fuel cells (Umicore).

Eleventh International Symposium on Chemical Mechanical Planarization.
The 11th International Symposium on Chemical-Mechanical Planarization is scheduled during
the month of August. The four-day symposium/workshop will be held (13-16th of August 2006)
at the Hilton Resort in Lake Placid, New York. It will include presentations by industrial
and university representatives and a poster session.
The 79th CSSS highlights the latest scientific advances in the broad domain of colloid and surface science and their applications. Over 600 oral and poster presentations are expected by the organizers and host, Clarkson University and CAMP.
