Joe's PhD research is centered around the behavior of electrical arc discharges in power systems. He is currently collaborating with EPRI on an arc flash hazard study. Joe is also involved with a NYSERDA funded project on developing a superhydrophobic coating for electrical materials.

Currently Nick is working on a NYSERDA reliability project aimed at correlating lab test results with real world effects. His thesis topic is an application of the Analytical Heirarchy Process. Outside of the lab, Nick enjoys WTSC - Clarkson's radio station, mountain biking, and kayaking the Racquette
