Web Zen this week covers Error 404 messages (including several archives of Error 404 messages, as well as some individually outstanding ones). Scintilla's seems to scroll on, dirgelike, forever, with the server becoming, by turns, apologetic, depressed, angry, and apologetic again about the situation.
