Shop 'Til You're Dropped
A woman at the front of the line at Wal-Mart at the open hour of 6 a.m. on Friday was
knocked down, trampled, and left unconscious by a mob rushing for $29 DVD players.
Paramedics called to the store found VanLester unconscious on top of a DVD player, surrounded by shoppers seemingly oblivious to her, said Mark O'Keefe, a spokesman for EVAC Ambulance.
A Wal-Mart spokesman call the family to apologize for her injuries and offered to hold a DVD player for her to purchase. (No, really.)
