Nametags
Performance art? Sociological research? Desperate cry for help? Whatever,
Scott Ginsberg has been wearing a nametag every day, every where, since winter of 2001.
In the beginning, it all started out as an experiment. "What would happen if I wore a nametag all the time?" I wondered. Maybe people would be friendlier. Maybe people would say hello to me. Maybe people would stare at me and think I was a complete weirdo!
The
numbers page provides some enlightening statistics on how Scott's been received:
98 percent of the population thinks I'm a pretty weird guy
16 people have ripped my nametag off
16 spare nametags I took out from my wallet that were reapplied
7 people who have tried to beat me up
I'm not sure what sort of person is provoked to violence by the sight of a nametag. In fact, I'm pretty sure I dont want to know.
