Hysteresis Loop Data for Fine and Coarse Grain Nickel at Plastic Strain Amplitude = 0.0005

 

Description - these tests were performed on nickel poly crystal specimens. The tests were completely reversed tension compression cycling with a nominally constant plastic strain amplitude of 0.0005. The above figures show: (a) - cyclic hardening expressed as stress amplitude vs. cumulative plastic strain; (b) - selected axial stress vs. axial plastic strain responses without magnetic field for the fine grain material, (c) - selected axial stress vs. axial plastic strain responses without magnetic field for the coarse grain material
