Atomic force microscopy in liquids and ambient conditions for study in:

Surface Material Science:
true atomic resolution in liquids, atomic and molecular interactions between nanoclasters, colloidal particles, interaction in presence of surfactants, chemical mechanical planarization (CMP);Biophysics: study of biological systems, bacteria and human epithelia cells, nanosurgery, biosensors.

  • Dimension 3100 Nanoscope IIIa with electronic extender box by Digital Instruments
  • Multimode Nanoscope IIIa with electronic extender box by Digital Instruments
  • Low current STM module for the Multimode
  • Optical Sony video system
  • Anti-vibrational table,
  • Optical stereo microscopes,
  • Micromanipulator 6000 by Micromanipulator Inc.
  • Polarm-L 213-TR a state-of-the-art polarizing optical microscope with working magnification up to 1600x, super-bright illumination system, capable of both orthoscopic and conoscopic studies of transparent birefringent samples. Has ability to image with phase contrast, dark-field, brightfield, and dispersion staining (central and angular).
