• manipulation and arrangement of molecules, to do “nanosurgery”
• biosensors to improve their sensitivity and speed by orders of magnitude
• nanophysiology of insects
• human skin
• dental surfaces

Surface Science/Materials:

• mechanisms of self-assembly,
• nanomechanics,
• interaction between nanoclasters and colloidal particles immersed in various media, surfactants,
• chemical mechanical planarization (CMP),
• true atomic resolution in liquids,
• localized charges on photoactive materials.
