The Clarkson Integrator is pleased to announce it's receipt of first place with special merit in the American Scholastic Press Association's annual newspaper contest. This contest draws submissions from over a thousand collegiate newspapers annually. Each newspaper is rated in categories such as layout, photo quality, design and numerous others. The winners are selected based on the total number of points received from the judges.

The Integrator received 950 out of a possible 1000 points in this year's competition. The 1st place with special merit is given to all papers with 950 points or more. For their hard effort this year, the Integrator staff joins only 7 other schools with an enrollment of 1700-2500 to receive the award.

Two years ago the Integrator received a 2nd place showing in the contest. This year's achievement comes as a significant show of the work and dedication of this year's staff.
