Dr.
Hopke who began his Post-Doctoral Research at MIT, joined the department of Chemistry
as the first Robert A Plane Professor in 1989, after spending several years at
the Institute for Environmental Studies. Prior to that he was a visiting Faculty
at University of Illinois and Assistant Professor at the State University College
at Fredonia,NY.
His
Research Interests are primarily related to particles in the air: how they
form, how to sample and analyze them; what their composition is; and where they
come from. His current projects are as follows:-
