The GPA has been moderately successful since its creation. Membership is at an all time high and it has become an official club at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School. At this particular chapter, there has been a successful transfer of power from the founder to the current president Chris Frederick. Two new chapters have been set up, one at the O'Rourke Middle School, and another in Niskayuna. There are also an additional three chapters on their way to becoming official. They are at Worchester State University, SUNY Cobleskill, and Clarkson University. Three Gnomes have been rescued; Esperto, Voltaire, and Jake. The Gnome Exchange Program has been set up and has already trained several Gnomes for the workforce. Local Chapters have raised public awareness of the Gnome plight, and the community appears to support the Gnome Protection Agency. The Gnomes themselves have also become more confident in themselves, thanks to the GPA and other Gnome related groups. The Gnomes have been staging strikes and propaganda campaigns across the nation, including the famous "Roaming Gnome", about whom a series of commercials are based. There is still much work to be done and much to accomplish, but we at the GPA have made tremendous headway given the mere two years we have been around.
