My wife Rebecca and I live with two German Short Haired Pointers, Oquirrh and Sadie. That's Oquirrh with me on the index page. He is named after the Oquirrh Mountains near Salt Lake City. I did my Ph.D. at the University of Utah.

I am an avid swimmer and biker and when
not doing the stuff I get paid to do, I can be found swimming laps in
the pool, doing a long swim in Lake Placid's Mirror Lake, or
climbing a few hills on the roads around Potsdam, Canton, or into the
