The goal of my project is to determine whether Conus venom has any antibacterial activity. My research includes devising scientific procedures for placing these venoms (at various concentrations) on bacterial lawns, scoring antibacterial activity through examining growth of inhibition, and attempting to isolate the peptides that demonstrate antibacterial activity.
