I am working with Dr. Manoj Krishnan to mass produce the protein Saxiphilin, which has a high affinity for the neurotoxin saxitoxin. I worked to culture it in insect cells, purify the supernatant using chromotography, and am now trying to use yeast cells to produce it. I am also working to insert another protien, Dslo, into a vector.
