Read the following:

  • Birth of Athena, pp. 30-31
• Homeric Hymns
  • 90 and 98: Athena
• Carpenter, Myth and Art,
  • In chapters 3 and 4, reread references to Poseidon and Athena and find all the plates referring to either of them
