How do I go about changing my major?

    All students should meet with the chairperson in the "new" department. It is best to do this before the start of the semester so that you may take care of your course selection and complete the Change of Major/Classification form. The "new" department will notify the Student Administrative Services (SAS) upon completion of this form.

When does it take effect?

    The records or paper work will indicate immediately, however, you remain in your current courses until the end of the semester. You should starting working with an academic advisor in your new department as quickly as possible.

How wil I know if my major has been changed?

    You will receive a "revised copy" of your student grade report from the Student Administrative Services (SAS) upon completion of the Change of Major form which will state that you have been "reclassified".
