An incomplete grade (I) may be issued in a course or courses only
if the student does not complete the requirements for a course(s)
because of illness or other extenuating circumstances beyond the student's
control during the last two weeks of the semester, and then
only when that situation is validated by a written statement from
the Office of the Dean of Students. Note, however, that the instructor
is not obligated to award "I" grade at that time. If a student
has no chance of making up enough back work to affect the term grade,
the instructor may choose to award a straight letter grade.
All the missed work must be completed within the first 10 academic
days of the following semester. When the instructor has sufficient
evidence for evaluating the course work, the "I" grade shall be replaced
with a letter grade.
What happens if I do not make up the work?
The incomplete "I" is no longer valid and you will receive an "F"
in the course.
