Book 13-16: Odysseus finally back in Ithaca

  • What is the relationship between Poseidon and the Phaecians?
  • What conflict arises out of the fact that Phaecians honored Odysseus?

  • What happens between Athena and Odysseus when he finally arrives in Ithaca?
  • Why does Odysseus dress as beggar once he arrives in Ithaca? Why does he not reveal himself to his family right away ?
