The schedule for the upcomming REU summer.
Participants will receive a stipend for research work, food and travel. In addition, housing will be provided at no cost.
Each participant is required to do research and present their work at the end of the summer. Research can span many different situations but is nearly a full-time job.
Participants are asked to attend a number of seminars on various topics relating to Environmental Sciences and Engineering.
Every undergraduate research student presents their work at an end-of-summer symposium.
Research work, seminars, and presentation can take a lot of time but building friendships and valuable social relationships are just as important. Because of this a number of field trips are taken each summer.
