Student Opinions from 1999:
The program has a lot to offer, seminars to money, but the determining factor to whether this program is for you is really determined by each individual. The program can be a great self discovery, a wonderful learning experience, and a whole lot of fun. Follow our project and social activities links to learn more about our '99 experience.
Student Opinions from 1998:
There isn't a time clock and no one strictly enforces the 40 hours a week rule. In other words you are treated like an adult and expected to get your work done. We found that at the beginning we worked less and near the end we worked more than 40 hours a week. Besides the seminars and field trips there were also smaller projects like making this REU homepage
and making individual project homepages. The field trips were fun, especially the retreat at beautiful Star Lake. Follow our project and social activities links to learn more about our '98 experience.
Items Worth Mentioning
