Welcome to my Summer 2006 site!
Me, Lindsay Hoffman, being goofy in the lab

This is me, Lindsay Hoffman, hanging out in my lab.

I'm an Environmental Engineering major at Clarkson University, where I'll be a senior in the fall.

I spent the summer at my alma mater, Clarkson University, researching microbial community structure in mercury- contaminated soil with Dr. Grimberg as part of the REU in Environmental Science and Engineering and my Honors undergraduate thesis.

I loved the REU program because it gave me the opportunity to do meaningful undergraduate research as well as make new friends and learn more about sustainability in the North Country. My summer (when not spent in the lab), was filled with trips to the Adirondacks, Ottawa, Burlington, the Akwesasne reservation, and the Thousand Islands, jaunts to the beach or Parishville for cliffjumping, theme parties, group dinners, reading, watching What Not to Wear with my roommates, volleyball, and countless other adventures.

Have a question about Clarkson, the REU program, the Honors Program, or my research? Feel free to contact me at hoffmalr@clarkson.edu.
