Description:
The Student Center has been built with many student uses in mind including many study rooms and lounges, one large food service area, a bar/cafe area with game room, many different eating areas, conference and meeting rooms for student groups, a virtual game room, small grocery store, mail room, music practice rooms, facilities for the student newspaper, student radio station, and student television station, a graduate student lounge, international student lounge, and a meditation room. The center of the building is a forum gathering space the full height of the building. It features stepped seating and a large screen television system with a sound system throughout the building.
Status:
Construction on the Student Center is complete. The building has been open to the public since August 2010 and has gotten much use from Students, Faculty, and Staff throughout this time. Many events and functions are now being held in the Student Center.
