Project: Publications Committee

     NYWEA has several projects that have the common interest in getting the word out about the Environment, and in particular, the organization itself.

Website
This website is updated throughout each semester with new memebers, news, and other events going on in the organization. It is kept under the publications committee's management, usually by one or two members. Recently the site has undergone a severe reconstruction of its layout and all of page content - adding a new look and reorganizing it's data.

Newsletters
What first began as a semesterly distributed Newsletter by the Clarkson Chapter of NYWEA, we now produce a yearly newsletter that incorporates all the main events, trips, news, guests, and much more. Members of the executive board will get together and discuss the main points throughout the year that are to be included and then members of the committee will help out and piece together a newsletter using Microsoft Publisher. This is sent to the main NYWEA chapter as a record of everything that was done in the year at Clarkson!

Other ways to get the word out
- Flyers -Each scheduled meeting, fliers are placed all over campus in order to get the word out - about who we are, what we're about, and whats going on that month. We try to encourage everyone to stop in and check NYWEA out - you never know, it could be just for you!

- Brochure - We have a brochure to explain what we're all about and it has some information about our offices and benefits that we can provide by being a member. Each year the brochure is updated with any new or changed information. Check our most current brochure.

- Posters - Posters are generally used during the Activies fair and Open Houses for new or prospective students to stop and ask us questions about what we are all about. From time to time these can get outdated, and it is the publications comittee's job to come up with new idea, renovate existing materials, and design new posters for NYWEA itself or for activities.
