About Omicron Pi Omicron:

The House

Omicron Pi Omicron is one of the oldest local Fraternities in the country. It is located on the corner of Leroy and Broad Streets, in lovely Potsdam, NY. Throughout the years the Omicrons have lived all over the village of Potsdam, but finally settled in our current house in 1958. Along with the brothers of Tau Epsilon Phi, the Omicrons' house is one of the Sisson families 3 homes. The house holds a lot of history, and still boasts it's original wood flooring. The active chapter takes great pride in 14Leroy, and wake up every Saturday morning at 8am to participate in our weekly Work Sessions. Each member works for 4 hours, together, to accomplish many general cleaning tasks, such as waxing and buffing the floors, cleaning the kitchen, picking up the basement, bathrooms, and common rooms.

During the summer of 2004 Omicron Pi Omicron celebrated it's Centennial anniversary. Over 300 alumni, actives, and guests came to join us in a 4 day long celebration that only the Omicron house could throw. Golf, Euchre, and Poker tournaments were enjoyed by young, old, sober, or otherwise.

The Experience

Having complete trust in one another we share all of our good and bad times. The Tradition

Omicron Pi Omicron was established in 1903 as the first fraternity at Clarkson. It is a local fraternity meaning that it is the only O Pi O in the world and that we are not governed by any national organization. In addition we have remained a very secret organization since the beginning. These attributes allow us to practice the same traditions as our brothers many years ago. It is an amazing experience meeting an Omicron that graduated back in the 50's and being able to share common stories and experiences with him.
