27 Sep 2008Greetings All, As you all know this is the time of the year when we celebrate "Navaratri". As announced earlier we will be celebrating it this weekend that is Oct 5th, 7-11 pm at Graham Hall Cafeteria in our own style with Puja, Dandiya and Dinner.
The following is the tentative schedule:
7-7 30 pm Puja
7 30-9 pm Traditional Dandiya
9-9 30 pm Dinner
9 30-11pm Contemporary Dandiya
Traditional Indian attire is encouraged. Dinner would be a Potluck*. There will be a training session open for all in Traditional Dandiya on Oct 4th, 9-11pm at Graham Hall Cafeteria. Dandiya is so much fun to learn and very easy to perform. There will be very enthusiastic people ready to teach you all the moves. Also the playlist for the Sunday's event will be assembled during these 2 hours. All are welcome to bring in their selection of songs to be included. Coming up this November is the most exciting event in the FIA calendar, "Diwali 2008". During the Dandiya Night we will be collecting the names of volunteers for the different committees for organizing "Diwali 2008". There will be a $7 entry fee for "Diwali 2008". We will be collecting the entry fee during Dandiya Night. Please bring in exact change. The new FIA website is up and running. All the new members who have not registered yet please do so by this weekend. Well Folks it is party time at Clarkson so let us have fun.p>
