Colorguard

Cadets perform Drill and Ceremony for sporting events and different ceremonies throughout the year.

Intramural Sports

Different intramural teams are formed throughout the year. The soccer team, hockey team and basketball team are comprised primarily of Army ROTC cadets who play through the intramural leagues and finish with a game versus the Airforce ROTC. The winner of the series wins the coveted Boot, an award which resides in the winner's ROTC office.

Potsdam Bear Patrol

To recognize and support the sacrifice of the thousands of men and women who are serving the U.S. Armed Forces, SUNY Potsdam students joined together to create a club called Bear Patrol: Students in Support of the Military. Bear Patrol strives to support the troops overseas by writing letters, sending packages, and generating awareness of the sacrifice service men and women are making for the country.

Ranger Challenge

Ranger Challenge is called the 'varsity sport' of Army ROTC. Focusing on the basic infantry skills,Squad-sized teams compete against other schools in the region on their abilities in rifle marksmanship, constructing a rope-bridge, patrolling, assembly and disassembly of the M16A2, the Army Physical Fitness Test, land navigation, and a 10 kilometer road march. The competition takes place in the fall and all cadets are invited to take part. Ranger Challenge cadets PT five times a week, separate from the rest of the battalion, in order to train the required skills for the competition.

Running Club
