Welcome to IDEA
The IDEA Club is Clarkson's student chapter for the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Graphics and Interactive Techniques, or ACM SIGGRAPH. Our weekly meetings are held in the back of the CEC (Snell 130) Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.. All majors and interests are welcome to join, so long as you have an interest in and a desire to learn about the wide array of Digital Art, Modeling, and Entertainment mediums and industries.
The purpose of the chapter is to allow students to connect further with the SIGGRAPH community and its resources, as well as create a platform and weekely brainstorming session for individual and group student projects. Students can also use the meetings to teach and learn from each other in a variety of mediums, through the resources in the CEC, and discuss issues and current IDEA projects among students with similar interests. This website brings those ideas outside of the weekly meetings, and students can see other student's work, discuss ideas with fellow members, and see in-progress IDEA projects. We're a new chapter, so the website is small, but we hope to make this website the central hub for IDEA, SIGGRAPH at Clarkson, Digital Arts & Sciences, and Communications.
