The community of La Margarita lacks basic services such as drinking water and sewage. This situation forces its inhabitants to drink water straight out of the Los Tintos River. This problem is compounded by the fact that there is no garbage collection in the community and all waste (human and otherwise) is thrown into the river. The Clarkson University EWB chapter will help the members of La Margarita in designing and building a water treatment plant.
