To some people a bisexual person might be viewed as a person who is
unable to decide if they are gay or straight. Bisexuality is a commonly
misunderstood sexuality. Some also believe that bisexuality is just
a phase that people go through, that it is a transition between homo
or hetero lifestyles. In fact, bisexuality can be a phase just as any
sexual orientation. Humans are complicated creatures and an individual's
sexual feelings and sexual behavior may change over time. Since America
is by far a heterosexual society, some people experience bisexuality
as a transitional phase before accepting their homosexuality. There
is, however, no universal definition of bisexuality. In general it is
the potential to be attracted to both women and to men although these
attractions may or may not lead to sexual relations. It is my firm personal
belief that one should be able to love who they wish regardless of the
boundaries of traditional sexual standards. It should not be the sex
of the person in question that determines if a relationship can be cultivated,
but instead qualities such as personality. Overall, love should have
no boundaries.
