Clarkson University Outing Club (CUOC)
For All Your Outdoor Recreation Needs.

What We Do

CUOC outing club and outdoor recreation Outing Club members are pretty much game for anything, but as you can see on the left side of your screen our main focus activities are: camping, canoeing, caving, climbing, hiking, kayaking (white and flat water), and skiing.

We camp and hike year round, mostly in the high peaks of the nearby Adirondack Park. We rock climb and kayak in the spring and fall, ice climb and ski in the winter and take frequent trips all over the northeast to go caving.

For The Serious Outdoor Enthusiast

We maintain this website in order to coordinate the activities of the Clarkson University Outing Club (CUOC). This benefits our current members, who are able to organize trips and share photographs, as well as our CUOC alumni, who can keep up to date on club happenings. This site, just like CUOC itself, is student run, so for us it's all about the purity of the outdoor experience.

We welcome any non - Clarkson visitors to our site. Take your time to browse our gallery and learn a little more about what makes us the active, exciting Outing Club that we are. CUOC outing club and outdoor recreation

Where The Action Is

The directions link at the top of the screen will take you to a list of directions for our favorite outdoor places. Although the CUOC hit list is far too long to put here, the easily accessible places we go to frequently are listed. If you are part of CUOC, or thinking of joining, look here to read up on where your next trip might take you. If you are unaffiliated with the club, check out the local hotspots you can explore on your own.

Our Outlook Is Great

This is true in more than one way! Members receive our frequent newsletter mailing The Outlook. In it, you will find pictures of recent outings, stories from our members, trail-side recipes, outdoor jokes and more. Keep your finger on the pulse of CUOC by getting your own issue of The Outlook.

Outing Club Meetings

CUOC holds weekly meetings in the Adirondack Lodge on campus. The Adirondack Lodge is a brand new, beautiful cabin nestled in the woods just off the campus proper. Every Wednesday at 8:00 you will find many of our members there, sharing trips we have done, planning future trips, and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow members. For Clarkson students, feel free to drop by one of our meetings and get more information about CUOC. Our members are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to meet other outdoor enthusiasts.
