Hiking
Almost all members of the Clarkson University Outing Club spend much of their time in the Adirondack Park. After all, we are located less than a half an hour away from the park! The club does everything from day hikes, to quick trips between classes for picking up blueberries for a homemade pie, to night hikes up Azure and just lie down watching the fluid motion of the northern lights.
At the Clarkson University Outing Club there are many trips for all abilities, from beginner hikes of less than 1 mile with views of breath taking waterfalls on the nearby Degrasse River, all the way up to 20+ miles of mountaineering adventures over the high peaks rugged terrain in the dead of winter. Any members can organize their own hiking trips or join in on trips already planned. The High Peaks region is a favorite of many club members.
