The Signal Processing Laboratory (SPL), a graduate
student research facility under the supervision of Dr. Alireza K.
Ziarani, is part of the Department
of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Clarkson
University.
Much of the research that takes place in the SPL is focused on real-world
applications, especially in the area of bio-engineering, of signal
processing algorithms and techniques. Currently, students are researching
new methods of testing and analyzing the human auditory response,
especially in infants. These methods include data acquisition with
hardware and software, as well as systems design using digital signal
processors. Other current areas of research include the removal of
power line interference from telephone lines and other data communication
links. |
